RARE ANIMALS: THE MONGOOSE


- NAME: Mongoose
- HABITAT: Their habit is diurnal, they living away from man.
- WHERE IT LIVES: Mongooses live in Africa, Asia, Europe, India, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Nepal and south of the Iberian Peninsula.
- CHARACTERISTICS: (How long, how fast, how tall, how heavy, how many years it lives…) 
They are between 23 and 65cm tall. They weigh between 1.3 y 1.7 kilograms. 
- FAMILY GROUP: Herpestidae.
- FOOD: They eat small mammals, birds, lizards, insects, snakes and eggs.
- REPRODUCTION: They breed all year. They have around 36 pups per year.
- CURIOSITIES: They respond to sounds of humans. They used signals to communicate. They doesn't have the same rights, some of thems are slaves and there is one mongoose who is special, is the queen.
